The Spanish firm is the industry’s leader since the launch of its first basket in 1987, with constant innovations and successive versions of the Shop & Roll shopping basket. In 2005 it incorporated two wheels and a telescopic handle and subsequently four wheels, providing greater capacity, mobility and convenience.
After surprising the sector once again with its Shop & Roll Loop 100 L bringing together the benefits of the trolley and basket, Araven is now preparing to launch its single-piece basket that will complete its current extensive range.
The baskets we use to do our shopping in supermarkets and shopping malls have gradually evolved over the past few years, as has occurred with other types of products such as suitcases or baby buggies. Nowadays nobody would dream of having to carry a loaded supermarket shopping basket. Our aim has been to achieve the highest level of comfort and convenience for the end user with systems that permit maximum mobility and minimum effort.
The year 2005 was a milestone for Araven as it marked the launch its revolutionary Shop & Roll, which was then to evolve successively. Shop & Roll is a basket that is comfortably handled with one hand only; it can be steered in all directions effortlessly, even in narrow aisles and it has a large capacity as well as having the maximum guarantee of health/hygiene.
After various improvements to the traditional basket concept and extensive research, Araven launched the first shopping basket with wheels and a telescopic handle, marketed worldwide and patented in more than 15 countries.
In just two years the Shop & Roll shopping basket revolutionized the panorama of transporting shopping at the point of sale thanks to the advantages that it provides both for consumers and for modern distribution.
Year after year the Shop & Roll basket has set the trend in the world’s large distribution companies and it is currently sold in 30 countries in the five continents with over five million units sold since it was first launched.
In its commitment to innovate and develop its products, Araven has continuously carried out improvements such as incorporating four wheels, an anti-bacterial handle or launching the first basket with wheels made from recycled plastic, amongst many other advances.
The evolution of the Shop&Roll range marked another milestone just one year ago when Araven presented its revolutionary Shop & Roll Loop 100 litres, combining the advantages of baskets and traditional trolleys.
But the Spanish firm has not stopped here; it is aware of the increasing importance of guaranteeing customers’ satisfaction during their daily shopping trips and the company is about to launch a new model that will add to its already extensive range: a single-piece basket with a modern design that is versatile, robust and provides great mobility and convenience for shoppers at the point of sale.
