On Friday 18th May Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services announced the winners of the 2017 Export Awards in recognition of the international activity of Aragonese businesses. This year’s edition marked the 40th anniversary of these awards.
Araven won the award in the category of medium-sized enterprises. The other winning companies are Zalux (large enterprise), Sismoha (small enterprise), Soluciones Luminiscentes (export entrepreneur) and Ebroacero (international achievement award). The awards are to be presented in a ceremony that will take place on 7th June at 19.00 hours.

The Foods of Plant Origin Research Group at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zaragoza analyzed chicken breast samples over a period of six days that were stored in four of the market’s top-rated and top-selling containers. They found that Araven’s containers were the best at protecting food from external contamination.

The Spanish firm is the industry’s leader since the launch of its first basket in 1987, with constant innovations and successive versions of the Shop & Roll shopping basket. In 2005 it incorporated two wheels and a telescopic handle and subsequently four wheels, providing greater capacity, mobility and convenience.

For its part, Araven highlights the fact that the chef’s professional approach helps to transmit the attributes of its products and that he also contributes his valuable experience in training through his collaboration with the company in the Master’s Course on Technique and Products run at the Basque Culinary Centre.
