The Spanish company and the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences have entered into an agreement whereby Araven becomes an exclusive supplier of equipment.
Araven, a Spanish company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of innovatory articles geared to catering services, recently entered into a five-year collaboration agreement with Basque Culinary Center, the first Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences in Spain. The two entities are set to pool their efforts and experience in the different training and research projects developed in the field of foodservice.
BASQUE CULINARY CENTER
Basque Culinary Center, the first Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences in Spain, was created in 2009 at the initiative of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the Basque Country cooks and public institutions.
The establishment is a center of training, research and development in the different areas of gastronomic sciences, with the purpose of guaranteeing the continuity of the kitchen as a hub of innovation in the future, which also implies the generation of high-level knowledge and the training of qualified professionals, of promoting research and the transfer of knowledge among professionals from the haute cuisine and the corporate sectors, of knowledge directly and indirectly related to gastronomy; and to achieving international status. Another of the center´s main objectives is to promote technology transfer and innovation among the companies from the sector, in addition to the creation of new corporate initiatives and projects.
