(Zaragoza, 22nd February 2010).- ARAVEN has launched its new cutting board, a product that is present in all types of catering establishments. The cutting board, made of polyethylene, strictly complies with the regulations that prevent cross contamination and sources of infection. Compared to the problems that users have with other cutting boards, this Zaragoza-based company offers a safe, hygienic and long-lasting product thanks to its rubber corners, its colour coding and reversibility.
Regulations do not allow the use of cloths (placed under boards to stop them from slipping) in kitchens due to their porosity; they also forbid the use of wooden boards that retain moisture and become a source of infection. ARAVEN responds to the need for a safe, non-slip cutting board by incorporating permanent non-slip corner pieces that are overinjected onto the board. These rubber corners are bonded to the board itself so that there is no risk of them falling off during washing processes.
Furthermore, the regulations stipulate that foods must not be mixed when using a board and it is recommended to use different colours to prevent cross contaminations. However, board users prefer white boards because they consider that coloured boards may conceal dirt. ARAVEN satisfies both the regulations and consumers with its colour coding system for board corners. Each colour identifies the type of food that has to be handled on each board: red for raw meat, yellow for raw poultry, green for fruit and vegetables, blue for raw fish and white for bread and cheeses.
In addition the new ARAVEN cutting board is reversible, which is a feature that helps to lengthen its life. The board is dishwasher-proof and available in three different sizes: 304 x 204 x 15 mm (thick), 404 x 304 x 20 mm (thick) and 504 x 304 x 30 mm (thick). both sides.
